Ben Carpenter
Designer | Illustrator | Good guy
Hi! I’m Ben, a designer and illustrator from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I work across branding, print, editorial, and web, with a particular interest in typography
and illustration. I’ve worked on everything from magazines and sports branding to data visualization, packaging, and the occasional brochure about retirement.

I like figuring out how things should look, but I also like figuring out why they should look that way. Sometimes that means building out a whole visual system, and sometimes it means spending way too long trying to get one little detail right. When I’m not designing, I’m probably watching a movie (please follow me on Letterboxd 🙏), listening to Sade, or obsessing over my fantasy football team.
If you want to work together, have a project in mind, or just want to say hi, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear from you!
