It started with a simple question: who are the best defensive guards in NBA history? Apparently, that question is only simple on paper.
I spent tons of time researching players, comparing defensive statistics, figuring out which metrics actually mattered, and developing a custom formula to combine them into one ranking. From there, I designed a series of data visualizations to make the results clear and easy to compare. The final project became just as much about building and understanding the data as it was about designing the graphics.
